New Development Of Naya Raipur:


The state of Chhattisgarh was shaped as a new state in the year 2000 with Raipur as capital. Consequently government of Chhattisgarh made a decision to develop a new capital city named Naya Raipur in 8000 Ha beside the Raipur and formed “Naya Raipur Development Authority”. The Naya Raipur city recognizing the growing demands for high quality infrastructure in the state, the government has decided to establish a modern high- tech, eco- friendly city.
Raipur the largest city of the state named its capital.  The new article is about distance of 20 kilometers from Raipur near close to Swami Vivekananda Airport and is between 2 national highways NH6 and NH43. The new urban city and the old city separated by the airport. Naya Raipur includes 41 villages out of which 27 villages from the center of the Naya Raipur.

Naya Raipur could possibly be the 4th planned capital city after Gandhinagar, Chandigarh and Bhubaneshwar. Half of the acquired land is being used for public facilities like roads, parks, afforestation, Public conveniences, green belts, water facilities canals etc. Educational institute, Government offices and public auditoriums would be reserved 23 percent of the total land. 30 percent of the land will be reserved for residential and economical purpose.
Naya Raipur city will be modern in the use of technology. Naya Raipur would be a green city in every sense of the term. Large area would be brought under tree- plantation. Arrangements for water conservation and waste water recycling,- Use of non- conventional energy resources to the maximum. Naya Raipur might reflect the legacy and society of Chhattisgarh and India, in its urban design and building design.
City design could promote sense of safety ease and comfort among its citizens, particularly women, children and the physically challenged. Many big malls are also coming up in the Naya Raipur city. The city will have head of the educational institutions shifted from Raipur. Naya Raipur could minimize usage of personalized modes public mass transport BRTS (Bus Rapid Transit System) and LRTS ( Light Rail Transit System) have been proposed.

Naya Raipur Development Authority shall develop infrastructure utility and social projects by various procurement methods such as public private partnership framework Engineering procurement contracts percent Rate, item rate, lump sum contract etc. depending on the nature of projects. Naya Raipur has also been selected as a demonstration city under the Global Environmental Facility World Bank assisted sustainable Urban Transport Project being implemented by Government of India.
